The brand belongs to Andrea Darnell based in Detroit. Her natural talents at a young age were graphic art and playing rhythm guitar. She is a native Detroiter and possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Eastern Michigan University.
After, completing college and as *fate would have it's way, of redirecting her life course; she was off to New York City.
As a New Yorker she worked for Allen Rosenthals Law Firm as a Law Clerk by day and had the privilege in the evenings to work at the renowned Actor's Studio for film actress Ellen Burstyn and study acting with Broadway stage actor Earle Hyman.
Ms. Darnell, relocated to Los Angeles and worked for Bateman, Eichler and Hill Richards a New York Stock exchange as a Legal Records Specialist. Later, her dream job opportunity came to fruition working for the renowned Motown Record Company; she continued to pursue an acting and modeling career.
During the time she worked for the record company, her nature graphic arts talents were reignited, eventually opened the door for her to establish Controversy Inc. a promotional and merchandising company.
Controversy Inc. in a short span of time became a major supplier to a Who's Who of Hollywood clients servicing their merchandise and promotional branding needs.
After, eighteen years she returned to her home town of Detroit and the amazing journey continued with the establishing of Detroit Boxing Team a amateur and professional boxing program.
The program succeeded in not only keeping youth off the inner city streets but developing city, state, regional and 3x national champions. Also, she worked as a community activist for the fight against neighborhood blight.
Ms. Darnell is currently proprietor of Detroit Entertainment and Sports, LLC along with Motor City Music, LLC and is forever grateful for being from a family which encouraged the entrepreneur "Spirit".
